Terry Thompson has been involved in farming his entire life.  The first 16 years of his life were spent growing corn and working a dairy farm in Kansas.  After moving to Othello, Terry helped his father homestead 440 acres of prime land in block 20, 10 miles south of Othello -- he then farmed himself for the following 20 years.  They farmed hay, potatoes, corn, wheat, and beans.  They also raised livestock along with having a cow/calf operation, feeding cattle at Prior Feed Lot.  Terry has owned an apple orchard and assisted his sons in raising and showing swine.  Terry grew 500 acres of potatoes for Simplot and was named GROWER OF THE YEAR for 1995.  He loves and understands farming and enjoys being involved with people.
